A MARVELous Life By Julia Baraona The definition of the word hero is “a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities”. When we think of heroes, we will obviously first think of superheros, such as the Avengers. Other heroes that come to mind are police officers, fire fighters, teachers, and mothers. The difference between the two is that the Avengers are fictional, while firefighters, teachers, etc, are not. But actually, that’s not the case. Drawing from ten years of the films, the public is familiar with the cultural phenomenon of the Avengers, especially [...]

Just like all the other years of your life, it feels really good to watch it all melt and see where your hard work has paid off. Sometimes, we do not reach our goals and we feel demoralized, but hey, life is not full of success. You have to experience failure before you can prosper. Even though this only my sophomore year, it is surely a transition period. It is for sure so much more difficult than [...]

The Hungry Dreamer By Ms. Photoframe Part 4 “Dreams without goals, are just dreams and they ultimately fuel disappointment.” -Denzel Washington Plan your goals to reach your dreams. To pursue your passion. Do not feed yourself disappointment. Now, disappointments interrupts you once in a while or all the time, but do not let those cause you to feel like giving up. Trials and errors are along the [...]
The Hungry Dreamer By Ms. Photoframe Part 3 Discovering the dream: We see others do something that we want to do. Sometimes, that is how we find our passion. This exposes us to something that starts a spark. A spark in our hearts that wakes us up. A calling. No matter how crazy it is, we are being called by it. The universe (How or Whom you ever you see it as) is giving us a sign. Wherever we go, it taps us on the shoulder and says hello. We sometimes try to ignore it because we believe we are [...]
The Hungry Dreamer By Ms. Photoframe Part 2 Passion is a deep eagerness feeling towards something or someone. Passion has multiple meanings for different people. Could it be what they want to pursue in life? What have they been doing their entire lives and continue to do? Could it simply mean what they love? Something that drives us crazy and we feel like we must do. The dictionary definition does not seem to satisfy anyone and we manipulate the meaning of the word to fit our lives. This 7 letter word has found its ways in speeches and has been [...]

Sometimes, I will ask my friends in case they have what I am looking for. Sometimes, I will ask my parents if they can drop by the grocery store to [...]
