About the Program

AMPLIFY is an alternative activities program that uses arts & media to promote positive youth development and leadership. Committed to using the arts as a positive outlet for expression, we aim to build confidence, community, and creativity.

Through daily workshops, youth will create their own projects, work in teams, and develop their confidence. As a FREE program for all youth, ages 10-18, in the Santa Clara County, our program runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Arts – We expose youth to different art forms including performance arts, creative writing, and painting. From reciting monologues to writing poems to creating vision boards, we want to help shape youth voices.

Media— The youth have the opportunity to learn hands-on photography, filmmaking, and digital editing. We offer exclusive mentorship with aspiring filmmakers in order to support driven youth who want to create ever-lasting stories. Our projects are recognized by organizations like CreaTV and Betting on our Future, receiving awards since 2012.

Leadership – Through the arts & media projects, youth will also build leadership skills such as communication, advocacy, and teamwork. Many AMPLIFY participants  are part of their school leadership teams and they go on to pursue higher education. We believe that the arts are a powerful tool in building leaders and creators in our community.
